We owe ourselves a path.
Of clarity and learning.
Of will and and pragmatism.
We owe ourselves the path ahead.
Even the simple fact of taking the decision of walking that new path will give origin to a common spirit, a pulsating one, evolving, day by day, to be unleashed.
It urges to feed that spirit and not submitting it to immobility.
In order to move onward we must expose ourselves, we must be ourselves the risk and the reward, the before and the after.

The launch of Kepler, due to the nature of its mission, has generated a flow of thoughts that some, fortunately for us readers, have the gift to put into words…:
Yet the vast majority of people I meet day to day are blissfully unaware that they now live in a universe populated by many solar systems, not just ours. On my way back from work at night I pass people heading to the off-licence or take-away, or walking their dog, or sneaking a cigarette in a shop doorway and I want to grab their shoulders, turn them to look at the sky and tell them “Look! Up there! Lots of those stars have planets! We can’t just say ‘the solar system’ anymore, we should be saying ‘OUR solar system!’… it really is that big a deal to me.

With the thunderous launch of the Delta II rocket this weekend, not only was the Kepler space telescope lofted into the sky, but also our hopes of finding a Second Earth. But now, after those few minutes of intense excitement, comes several months of impatient waiting.
Kepler will spend the next two months being put through its paces, testing its ability to acquire guide stars, maintain absolute accuracy in its orientation, and successfully beam data back to Earth. After this commissioning phase, Kepler will enter active scientific service sometime this Spring.
